For families who have endured hardship and isolation, this simple tool has become a lifeline of hope

Each week, a group gathers to listen intently to Scripture, discuss its meaning, and—most importantly—commit to living it out. What sets this club apart is its culture of accountability. Members gently follow up with one another during the week, asking,

“How are you practicing what we learned?”

This rhythm of Listen, Discuss, Apply, and Hold Accountable has become the engine for profound transformation. “The audio Bible in our heart language made it clear,” Victor shared. “We didn’t just hear words; we felt them. And having brothers and sisters walk with us, to encourage us when we fail, has made all the difference. This is true discipleship.”

The changes in Nyiwal are not abstract—they are visible in the lives of its people:

Uchiro, once known for his stumbling gait and slurred speech as his life revolved around the local brew (a traditional homemade alcoholic drink, often brewed from sorghum or millet in rural South Sudan), saw his income evaporate along with his hope. But after joining an audio Bible group, he heard messages of purpose and self-control, a change began in him. The group supported him, held him accountable when temptation came, and today he is sober. His family has their husband and father back, and he is a respected member of the community.

Anguec, a woman known for her quick temper that sparked constant disputes with neighbors and family, was deeply challenged by lessons on forgiveness and loving one’s neighbor. Through group discussions and encouragement, she learned to pause and choose peace. The quarrels have ceased, replaced by reconciliation and a new reputation as a peacemaker.

These stories reveal what happens when God’s Word is not only heard but lived out in community.

The members of the Audio Bible Club thank God first for His power to convict, change, and heal—and they thank donors like you who made this possible.

This gift came through World Concern’s Global Gift Guide—a catalog that allows you to choose life-changing gifts like Solar-powered Audio Bibles for families in need. Each gift is more than a donation; it’s an opportunity to share hope and God’s Word in places where literacy is low and resources are scarce. When you give through the Global Gift Guide, you’re not just sending a device, you’re sparking a movement of discipleship and renewal that can transform entire villages.
