Youth Project Excellence (YPE) is a youth-led civil society organisation founded in 2017 and registered in Malawi and committed to advancing the rights, health and socio-economic empowerment of adolescents and young people. The organisation addresses systemic barriers limiting youth participation, access to services and meaningful inclusion in development processes. YPE works primarily with adolescents and young people aged 10–35 years, with a strong focus on adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), marginalized youth populations and underserved communities. Through community engagement, advocacy, capacity strengthening and partnership building, YPE promotes equitable access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender equality and youth leadership. To date, YPE has directly reached 25,763 adolescents and young people (10,963 males; 14,800 females) across Traditional Authorities Chitukula, Mtema and M’bang’ombe in Lilongwe District through peer education, mentorship forums, digital advocacy campaigns and community dialogue platforms that promote youth leadership and accountability.
