As a married man, father, husband and minister of God's word, born-again and a man who believes in being a transformative solution-based man, I began a group known as Marriage Building Family year 2018. The main objective of the group was to give holistic tranformative teachings on parenting, business, prayer, emotional healing, intimacy and any other issue affecting individuals at family level. The group grew as I encouraged the support of widows, orphans, less privileged in society and also mentored those who desired sustainable income-generating projects. Many have over the years stabilized their businesses. When widows and less privileged get into trouble, the group's legal advocate assists in securing their assets and also handles inheritance and administration of property issues. In the year 2022, we saw the need to handle our children and mentor them, and that's when, under JCC Kahawa West Church, I became a teen minister and began Bible-based mentorship programs that have a minimum duration of two years. It takes time for the results to be seen. This year 2026, when teenagers were having unrest in schools, I can testify, glory be to God, the teens I began with were peaceful and composed due to the principles they had learned over time. Main topics include: Identity and purpose, self-awareness, self-discovery, peer-pressure, among others. As a minister, I have managed to support less privileged gain Bible based values and principles that have helped them understand themselves and able to build themselves Currently, I have a continuing teens program every Sunday where the teens are impacted with Bible-based, transformative teachings. The program is a little funded but needs more funding to reach more teenagers. A need arose for a program for children who are not JCC Church members; therefore, I was forced to take another place to cater to children from other churches. One parent was amazed by how the mentored children differed from the other children at a certain school in Kahawa West. Their confidence, organizational skills, respect, and conflict management skills are at another level. Another parent, who had struggled with many programs that were costly, said, he doesn;t know but the program is working for his son. My vision is to replicate the program and get more teenagers from the Kahawa West area, and other areas, as a trained Pastor (currently undergoing theological studies at PAC University). The success of the earlier 2022 teens mentored who are self-driven, focused, with high self-esteem and life skills, makes it a must program for any would-be parent. Instead of peer pressure, the trained teenagers are able to influence their peers positively in the whole school. The tool is the Bible, but the teachings are age-appropriate. So I would like to nominate the teens program, although I can't post photos of the same due to data protection laws and under 18 child protection laws.
