Mthunzi Trust is a youth-led, community-driven nonprofit organization in Malawi dedicated to empowering children, young people, women, and vulnerable communities through education, climate action, livelihoods, and social innovation. We work closely with schools, local leaders, community groups and development partners to create practical, sustainable solutions that improve lives and strengthen community resilience. Our work includes environmental conservation through tree planting and climate education, renewable energy initiatives for schools, career guidance and mentorship for young people, digital skills development, entrepreneurship support and community capacity building. We also promote civic engagement, advocate for inclusive development and create opportunities that enable young people to become active leaders and changemakers in their communities. Mthunzi Trust primarily serves underserved rural and peri-urban communities across Malawi, with a strong focus on children, youth, women, and marginalized households. Through partnerships and locally led initiatives, we have helped improve access to education, inspired young people to pursue meaningful careers, strengthened climate resilience, and supported communities in adopting sustainable development practices. Our impact is measured not only by the number of people reached but by the lasting change we help create, empowering communities with the knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities they need to build a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable future for Malawi.
