Kwithu Women’s Group is a community-based, non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for women, youth, children, and other vulnerable populations in Luwinga Ward, on the outskirts of Mzuzu City. Our mission is to feed, educate, and empower communities through holistic, sustainable, and community-led development. Currently, Kwithu supports over 1,185 direct beneficiaries across five integrated program areas that address both immediate needs and long-term resilience: • Feeding Program: Provides nutritious meals three times a week to 566 children and elderly beneficiaries, improving school attendance, concentration, and overall health. • Education Program: Supports 434 vulnerable learners from early childhood through tertiary education with scholarships, academic support, and mentorship. • Women and Youth Empowerment: Reaches over 483 participants through business training, revolving loans, and leadership development initiatives. • Vocational Skills Training: Equips 60 out-of-school youth annually with practical skills in trades such as carpentry, tailoring, bricklaying, and food production. • HIV/AIDS and Community Outreach: Promotes health and wellbeing through awareness campaigns, nutrition support, and home-based care, reaching the broader community and all program participants. Kwithu’s holistic approach strengthens resilience, promotes equity, and drives sustainable community transformation by creating opportunities at every stage of life.
