What we do Family Care for Children (FCC Rwanda) is a Rwandan non-governmental organization committed to ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, loving, and nurturing family. FCC Rwanda strengthens vulnerable families, prevents unnecessary family separation, promotes family-based alternative care, and protects children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The organization also implements Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives that support children's health, nutrition, early learning, protection, and responsive caregiving during their formative years. In addition, FCC Rwanda empowers young people through life skills training, vocational and entrepreneurship support, leadership development, and economic empowerment programs that prepare them for productive and independent lives. Who we serve FCC Rwanda serves: Vulnerable children, including those at risk of family separation. Children in need of alternative family care and reunification. Parents, caregivers, and foster or kinship families. Children aged 0–6 years through Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs. Adolescents and young people through youth empowerment and skills development initiatives. Communities, local leaders, and government institutions working to strengthen child protection and family well-being. Our impact FCC Rwanda contributes to stronger families and healthier communities by improving children's safety, care, and development. Through its ECD programs, young children receive better nutrition, healthcare, early stimulation, and quality early learning opportunities, laying a strong foundation for lifelong development. Through youth empowerment initiatives, young people gain practical skills, confidence, leadership abilities, and livelihood opportunities that increase their employability and self-reliance. By working with families, communities, and government partners, FCC Rwanda helps ensure that children grow up in protective family environments and that young people become active contributors to Rwanda's social and economic development.
