Community Links and Human Empowerment Initiative β( CLHEI) is a community-driven organization working to strengthen people, institutions, and systems for sustainable development. We focus on building capacity, promoting inclusive governance, and advancing human empowerment through practical programs and partnerships for twenty (20)years now Rapid Humanitarian Response: CLHE provides rapid humanitarian response to displaced communities, delivering urgent support to families who have lost homes and livelihoods. We implement protection activities that safeguard women and girls who have experienced abuse, ensuring access to safe spaces, confidential support, and referral services. We also conduct trauma healing sessions that help displaced women and children process their experiences, restore dignity, and build resilience for the future. Organizational Capacity Building: We support NGOs, CBOs, and community institutions with systems strengthening, governance, and leadership development so they can deliver better results. -Value Chain & Livelihoods: We work with Displaced farmers, women IDP camps, Village loans and savings Association (VSLA) groups to improve access to markets, information on exportable crops, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. -Community Development & Advocacy: We facilitate dialogue, research, and advocacy on issues affecting communities β from agriculture and environment to gender and social inclusion. Partnerships for Impact: We collaborate with organizations like ActionAid, ARISE international and other development actors to align local action with global best practices. The communities we serve: We work primarily with Displaced Women and girls population both in rural and peri-urban communities across Nigeria, with a focus on underserved groups β women, youth, farmers, and vulnerable households. Our approach is cluster-based, so we partner with community structures and local leaders to ensure programs are rooted in real needs and owned by the people. :The difference we make 1. *Stronger institutions*: By investing in capacity assessments and training, we help organizations become more effective, accountable, and sustainable. 2. *Better livelihoods*: Through value chain support and market linkages, we help families increase income and food security. 3. *Community ownership*: We donβt just implement projects. We guide communities to lead the process β from planning to monitoring β so results last beyond any single intervention. 4. Evidence and learning: We use research, GIS, and feedback to guide decisions, ensuring our work is verifiable, visible, and responsive. CLHE connects communities to opportunities, tools, and knowledge and we stay until local systems are strong enough to keep the impact going.
