Ban-tum Tree Nursery CBO is a community-based organization dedicated to environmental restoration and sustainable livelihoods through tree growing. Its core activities include raising indigenous, fruit, and fast-growing tree seedlings in its nursery beds; preparing and maintaining nursery beds through soil mixing, potting, watering, and pest control; and grafting fruit trees to improve yield and quality. The CBO organizes community tree-planting drives along riverbanks and degraded land, distributes seedlings to farmers, schools, and institutions, and supports agroforestry on member farms. It also runs training and environmental awareness campaigns for youth and women's groups, generates income through seedling sales, and partners with local authorities and development organizations on reforestation and climate action initiatives.
