Africa Food for Thought (AFFT) is a fully registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of children through food security and education. Based on the West Rand of Johannesburg, South Africa. AFFT currently supports more than 3,100 children, ensuring that they have the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and thrive. At AFFT, we believe that no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. Proper nutrition is the foundation for healthy development, improved concentration, and better educational outcomes. We aspire to be a catalyst for positive change, fostering resilient families that thrive and contribute to the broader development of South Africa. We have the following programmes: The ECD feeding programme where each child gets breakfast, lunch and a snack each day. The school feeding programme where each child gets lunch each day. The OVC Families programme where each family receives a food parcel and some fruit and veg once a month.
